This was the second photoshoot for this beautiful senior…we did some formal photos earlier, that turned out amazing (I know that sounds like bragging, but I am saying SHE did a wonderful job, LOL). The first photoshoot was in Richmond Virginia, and this photoshoot was at Norfolk Botanical Garden. We walked a LOT and took a lot of photos, but still didn’t come close to visiting all of the grounds…it’s a huge place!
This senior looked radiant and I loved that she integrated some of the ODU gear in the photos! Incidentally, ODU has an amazing glass art exhibit on display for the next few weeks.
Senior photoshoots are one of the most fun things I get to do. There’s just something about the casual, stress-free nature of the photoshoots, and it’s a bonus when I get to shoot in such a lovely location, such as Norfolk Botanical Garden. I’d like to give a shoutout to the event staff who helped coordinate everything, and for their professionalism! They had a lot of events going on at the Garden but still were on the ball!
I’d also like to thank the senior’s mom, and for those of you who don’t know, I *rarely* bring an assistant along on photoshoots. Usually, the parent, or a friend of the high school senior help out by holding reflectors, holding lights, etc. It’s incredibly simple, as I set everything up, and to be honest, I think it makes the time pass by more quickly for those who aren’t being photographed. I appreciate their help so much! I always recommend that for a senior photoshoot, the senior brings a friend along, if possible…to help with hair, makeup, changes, etc. It’s a lot of fun.
And finally I’d like to thank this senior! She was such a trooper, and did such an amazing job. Her yearbook photo was STUNNING and she was a joy to work with, and wonderfully polite and courteous (in true Virginia fashion). She had a wonderful smile, and I hope that she looks back on these photos years from now, and remembers the best parts of high school.
Good luck Class of 2017!
